Education:
I am a member of the class of 2026. I take all honors, AP, and Dual Enrollment classes. As of next year, I will be enrolled in all Dual Enrollment classes in order to graduate with my AA Degree. I take school very seriously and love to learn. I have taken Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry and am currently taking AP Pre-Calculus. I have straight A’s and take pride in my success.
Experience:
I have had many opportunities to learn how to work with children. First, I have completed a program at River Ridge High School called the New Teacher Academy. It has taught me what the field of education looks like and what it means to teach someone. I have had several hands on learning experiences from days at various elementary schools and teaching my high school class. In my final year, I completed an internship in a 7th grade accelerated math class. I was able to teach lessons and help with any questions. Through this program, I was able to get CPR certified.
Furthermore, I have volunteered in the children’s ministry at my church since 2019. It is my favorite thing to do each week. I have learned different classroom management skills and how to redirect the kids with grace, ensuring a peaceful learning environment. I have worked with ages Infant-5th grade.
Lastly, I have been tutoring since September 2023 and babysitting for several years for both my nephews and family friends.
Motivation:
I believe kids are incredibly important and should be valued as they learn and developed. My career goal is to be a child psychologist so that I can help kids through mental and emotional struggles. Through tutoring and babysitting, I can gain experience while helping your family.
